This is the comprehensive Mining Guide.

Getting Started

Mining is an easy-to-use tradeskill, often used in conjunction with Smithing to create weapons and armor. You will need a Pickaxe to mine. Every user starts with a Pickaxe in his or her inventory, but if you don't have one, you can buy one in a Weapon Shop such as the one in Olympia on Atlantis Island. Once you have a Pickaxe, just equip it (as a weapon) and find some rocks. Rocks can be found around the world, and both Birth Island and Atlantis Island have Iron Rocks on their maps.

Mining Chart

Here is a chart of all items (ores) that can be mined in the game. Level refers to the Mining level at which you can first mine the item. Experience is how much Mining experience is given on a successful hit (failed hits give half of that amount). The Base Chance is the chance of successfully mining the item when your Mining level is the lowest possible level to mine that item, and + Chance is how much your odds of success go up with each Mining level on top of the first possible level. For example, the chance of successfully mining Coal at level 14 would be (20% + 4*4%) = 36%.

Mining Bonuses

Various mining bonuses are included in the game. These include the Orbulite Pickaxe, which can be aquired during the Orbulite Festival on the Orbulite Island. Another, slighlty harder bonus is the Hillside Terror, which can be found and caught whilst ming Coal in the North-West of Zodiac Mainland.
