The History of Seeds of Time Online is as follows. This consists of mainly major and semi-major updates. If this page becomes too big, we will divide it into separate years.
When reading, keep in mind that the year of 2007 was only an alpha test. The official launch took place on January 1, 2008.

2007
September 2007
September 11, 2007: Work begins on Seeds of Time Online.
October 2007
October 27, 2007: The alpha launches at around 5 or 6 PM, with only Birth Island available. No tradeskills are available at the alpha's launch, though Mining and Smithing come in the near future. See: News
November 2007
November 7, 2007: Atlantis Island is uploaded in minimal state, with no quests or fightable monsters. Olympia is complete, however, and there is a Monster Breeder's Hut (at that time known as a "Monster Farm", but later renamed to avoid confusion with the Monsters page which is also says Monster Farm). Mining is also available at this time, for the first time. See: News
November 17, 2007: Atlantis Island reaches a state of more-or-less completion, with monsters and quests uploaded. See: News
November 18, 2007: The first half of Smithing, specifically Smelting, is uploaded. See: News
November 19, 2007: The second half of Smithing, specifically Forging, is uploaded. See: News
November 20, 2007: The Avatar Editor is uploaded. See: News
November 22, 2007: The option for female characters is added to the registration form. See: News
November 27, 2007: Birth Island is updated with a new map system, similar to the Atlantis Island map system. See: News
December 2007
December 1, 2007: A major layout change takes place with the addition of a right-side navigation bar. Previously, there was only one navigation bar on the game page. See: News
December 3, 2007: The Wiki is launched! Public contributions were opened later on Dec. 5, 2007 (until then, it was read-only to all users except Josh himself). See: News
December 7, 2007: Maximum energy is increased from 50 to 100, with the energy restoration rate also raised from 5 energy per hour to 10 energy per hour. See: News
December 9, 2007: Tjbond is appointed as the first moderator of the game. See: News
December 12, 2007: The Referral Shop is added, giving users a way to earn Energy Potions. See: News
December 17, 2007: The "voting rewards" system is added, which rewards users who "vote" with free energy. Voting results in many new members over the course of time. See: News
2008
January 2008
January 1, 2008: The official launch takes place at 12:00 am (midnight) central time. Everyone's accounts were deleted the night before to make room for the fresh start.
January 7, 2008: Steel items are added to the game. See: News
January 15, 2008: The Development Blog is started, allowing the world to catch of a glimpse of how Seeds of Time Online is created. See: News
January 19, 2008: Monsters can now cast spells on you when you fight them in battle, and other small changes to the website's appearance are made. See: News
January 19, 2008 (again): A preview image of the Zodiac Mainland is uploaded, giving the world an idea of what the new continent will be like. The Zodiac Mainland is later released on February 29, 2008. See: News
February 2008
February 29, 2008: The Zodiac Mainland is released. Fishing and Cooking are also released (as a surprise) as part of this major release. See: News
March 2008
March 3, 2008: The game server is moved to Dreamhost, which later turned out to be a very bad host. See: News
March 8-9, 2008: Character graphics are updated to look more polished. See: News 1 and News 2
March 10 or 11, 2008: Seeds of Time Online reaches 1,000 registered (and verified) members!
March 19, 2008: The game server is moved to LunarPages, which is much faster and much more reliable than Dreamhost. See: News
March 23, 2008: The Deep Sea Research Lab is released, and Red River Cave receives a complete re-design to utilize the new dungeon system (the same system used in the Corrupt Tower and Deep Sea Research Lab). It is also Easter, so players receive a bonus of 1 x Energy Potion and 5 x Cooked Tuna.
April 2008
April 1, 2008: The first annual April Fools' Day event takes place! Various oddities take place in game: Bootsnake is replaced with Bootrex, Blue Arms turn into Metal Arms (a weapon for the joke "Robot" class, with an attack power of 9), and Jaywalker and Janewalkers turn orange. See: News
